Wrapping Parker's first year up...

Parker turned one on February 23.  I have this amazing book that I made for Grant when he turned one of all the blog posts from his first year.  It is so fun to have and he loves looking through it.  I am sorry to say for Parker that his will be much smaller.  I do want to make it anyway though.  This is like their baby book and I don't want Parker to feel sad that there's not as much documentation of his baby days! So that being said, here are the pictures from his birthday party.  It was a great day, unseasonably warm and relaxing.  Delicious food and lots of german beer.  I mean a beer garden is a traditional place for a first birthday right?!

Grant's Birthday and Great Wolf Adventure!

Last week was really a fun one.  We celebrated Grant's 4th birthday (I can NOT believe it) and headed out of town for a few days at the Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos.
His birthday started with a classroom visit for me.  I read a book to the class and they made snowflake magnets.  His class is so well behaved.  I was really impressed.

Then we had a little birthday pizza and cake at Dozzino.

And headed out to PA.  When we woke up we headed to the water park.  This place is huge and surprisingly well managed (from what we saw at least).  Grant was able to go on almost all of the water slides and Eamonn and I had a good time too.  Parker just hung out.  He wasn't too interested in the water, but he was in good spirits.

Napping at the water park...

 Friendly's trip!

Storytime at the Great Wolf Lodge with my boy!

We did a fun activity where they made a book with Grant's picture in it.  It was like a scavenger hunt activity and then they printed out the book for him to take home.

 Headed home!

Christmas!

Christmas this year was a bit of a bust...we all seemed to come down with a stomach bug and then managed to pass it to most of our extended family.  Big bummer.  I only got a few photos even which makes me feel like a terrible mom.  Parker's first Christmas...almost no documentation.  Boo.  I will share what I have and try to make up for it in the next few weeks.  We did recover in time for New Year's which we spent with friends.  We had a blast counting down to 2014 at 7:53ish so everyone could get to bed.  Probably the most fun I've had on a New Year's in quite a while, despite not making it up until midnight.  Here all all the pics from the past few weeks.

Some of Parker's eats (remember when I had that blog for Grant's eats...that was cute, lol).  Parker loves avocado and will eat almost half of one himself.  He is not so much into orange vegetables (like sweet potato or butternut squash), but likes broccoli and peas.  He also loves meat, surprisingly.  Grant would always choose carbs over meat and Parker is just lukewarm about pasta.  Whose child is this anyway??
