Long time, no blog

Sorry about the lack of blog updates from me.  I guess I took the summer off!  Anyways, here are a bunch of photos that I just uploaded off the camera.  We've had a great summer so far (despite an earthquake and a hurricane evacuation)!  I can't believe next weekend is labor day weekend already.  Crazy!  Next year it will be Grant going to school...

18 months old!

Grant's 18 month birthday was on Saturday.  We celebrated with a trip to the city to visit his Uncle Jeff for his birthday!  Fun times.  I bought Grant a cupcake, but he wanted nothing to do with it.  Don't know why since I then had to eat it myself.  Yum!

This week Grant also had his first trip to swim in Crestwood Lake.  To say he enjoyed it would be an understatement.  He absolutely loved it and I think he enjoyed bringing some friends to experience it with him.  The crazy thing is that we had 3 babies in 3 cribs napping at one point (for about an hour together).  Pretty impressive.

Summertime Fun!

So Grant and I have been all over having fun in the sun.  I'm getting a nice tan and he's staying nice and pale (hopefully).  Here are some pictures!

17 months and Sesame Place!

Grant turned 17 months this week.  Only one month away from being 1 1/2.  Time is flying by!  He has started to talk a lot more this month.  Saying lots of things from hi, bye, mama, dada, book, dog, ball, more, etc to spitting out a couple word combos like "go up" and "i did it".  Fun stuff.  Of course his favorite word is "no" which is pretty tough when he just says no to everything.  He's also running.  Full on flying forward.  We are definitely getting a workout around here between the stairs and the chasing.  I took a few pictures on his 17 month birthday to which he responded "More, more, more".  I guess he likes getting his picture taken.

We also visited Sesame Place this weekend.  I wasn't sure how Grant would respond as sometimes he's a little shy in unfamiliar places.  He loved it!  I was happily surprised that he didn't show any restraint and really enjoyed himself.  He danced at the Elmo show and ran around the Big Bird's Bouncy Nest.  He also loves the water and really would have jumped in had we not stopped him.  Unfortunately it was a little chilly and cloudy, so we'll have to go back to enjoy the Count's Splashdown Castle.  I got some great shots of him with his buddy Mia.  They are pretty adorable together.
