Thanksgiving and First Steps...

Well it has been a BIG week in the Haley household.  Grant's first Thanksgiving and first steps.  Wow!  He started the week being able to stand for so long on his own, but too scared to actually move.  Eamonn said it was like his feet were stuck in cement.  Definitely true.  On Thursday (actual Thanksgiving), he did a couple little shuffle steps, pretty exciting for sure.  Last night, he really brought out the big guns, walking 3 or 4 steps in a row before falling a couple of times.  We did try to video, but it was pretty impossible to get him going and then get far enough away in our small apartment to see him in action.  I'll keep trying though.  I'm sure I'll get one soon.  In other news, we had a great Thanksgiving with tasty food and fun times.  I also attended my first skype baby shower (yay Nicole!) which was great.  What a fun surprise!

Park Pictures and Playgroup!

Here are some randoms from the past week or two...
Grant enjoying the park in the cold (apparently I really like brown)

 With his buddy Caitlin!

Playgroup at our house!  Pretty much chaos, but I think everyone had a good time.

10 month pictures...

So okay, getting Grant to sit/stand still is next to impossible.  Even with Eamonn home from work for Veteran's day we got pretty much a very small handful of good pictures...but here they are for your viewing pleasure.

Also Wake Forest sent this...pretty sure it's an acceptance letter.  Grant is very advanced.

Almost 10 months!

Tomorrow is Grant's 10 month birthday...holy crap!  I can't believe the big day is just over two months away.  It is astounding to me how much this year (so far) has flown by...and with the holidays approaching I'm sure it will be January 9th before we know it.  Grant hasn't had any new tricks or new teeth this week...so status quo I guess.  No complaints from me on that one as I pretty much know his next trick will be walking.  I'm not rushing that one.  Take your time little nipper!  He's still doing his standing and has been perfecting his cruising...even turning mid-furniture to reach for the next piece.
Here are this week's pictures.

Tis the season...Thanks Gma!

Blurry...but all cuddled up in his footmuff...this kid rides in style!

First time in his umbrella stroller...and first trip to the mall.  Definitely a success!
